About the Healing space
Each session takes place on a Richway amethyst crystal BioMat, which combines far infrared rays, negative ions and the conductive properties of amethyst channels to aid in healing. Amethyst’s healing properties have been acknowledged and celebrated for centuries by ancient scientists, healers and others. Now, modern science has confirmed the highly conductive properties of this remarkable mineral. Amethyst crystals offer the most consistent and powerful delivery of far infrared light waves, and ionic effects to the human body.
I infuse the room with essential oils from Young Living. If you are sensitive to diffusers, please let me know ahead of time.
I am now offering outdoor sessions in my lovely garden. If you would love to experience the breeze and the sound of the birds with your session, then this one is for you! I suggest an early morning appointment for this one-at least until Fall! (No Biomat outside). There is an addition charge of $20 for this service.
Whole Body session
The Whole Body session is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. I combine many different modalities into my session. I use Structural integration, Shiatsu, and energy work in such a way that it is beneficial to the muscles and their alignment. I finish this with soothing strokes from Swedish massage. Each session is will focus on the needs of your body in that moment. A new awareness of self is obtained through focused attention by the client as I work on areas of tension. Vibrational healing will also be included with the use of tuning forks at the end of the session. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility. If you have multiple areas that need to be addressed, I suggest booking the 90 minute session.
I am offering a special bundle price of $180 for (3) 60 minute sessions OR $270 (3) 90 minute sessions.
Whole Body session + Cranio
This is the same as the 60 minute Whole body session, I just add 30 minutes of Craniosacral Therapy at the end. It is a perfect way to end the session, as the body is already relaxed. By adding the CST at the end, it just finishes it perfectly. By relaxing the body AND the central nervous system at the same time, it brings relaxation to another level.
CST is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system - comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord.
Using a soft touch generally no greater than 5 grams, or about the weight of a nickel, practitioners release restrictions in the craniosacral system to improve the functioning of the central nervous system.
By complementing the body's natural healing processes, CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and is effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction.
Structural Integration is a type of bodywork that focuses on the connective tissue, or fascia, of the body. Fascia surrounds muscles, groups of muscles, blood vessels, organs, and nerves, binding some structures together while permitting others to slide smoothly over each other.
Fascia is designed to be elastic and move freely with muscles and bones. Injury, stress, work-related repetitive movements and the effects of aging can cause fascia to lose its elasticity and become shorter, tighter, and more dense. Tightened fascia pulls our muscles and skeleton out of proper alignment and posture, which can cause pain, discomfort, and fatigue.
Structural Integration works to lengthen, stretch, and soften this tissue to restore postural balance, ease of movement, and a feeling of being more at home in your own body. It is practiced in an organized series of sessions or individual sessions within a framework that is designed to restore postural balance by aligning and integrating the body in gravity. Structural Integration is based on the work of Dr. Ida P. Rolf.
Hot Stone Therapy
Combining hot stone protocols with a full body massage provides a very healing and effective experience. The hot stones also expand blood vessels, which encourages blood flow throughout the body. The hot stones have a sedative effect that can relieve chronic pain, reduce stress and promote deep relaxation. Muscles that are heated with these stones release tension and stress much more deeply and quickly than with a traditional massage. The overall experience is very relaxing, nurturing, and rejuvenating.
Young Living Raindrop Technique
Young Living's proprietary Raindrop Technique®combines unique, targeted massage and energy approaches with pure, authentic essential oils for a deeply harmonizing, rejuvenating, and relaxing experience. The technique, developed by Young Living Founder and CEO D. Gary Young, draws from his experience with Native American wellness traditions and provides a revolutionary means of nurturing harmony-physically, mentally and emotionally.
Essential oils are dropped from about 6 inches above the spine, simulating rain drops gently striking your spine. It is relaxing and comforting. The oils are also worked into the feet along the arch of the foot. Once the oils are dropped onto the body, the therapist applies a massage technique called vita flex which enhances the benefits of the essential oils. This massage technique means “vitality through the reflexes,” and it involves a rolling and releasing motion of the fingertips to massage the reflex points of the body. Once this happens, the reflex points release an electrical charge through the body that travels along the nerve pathway until it meets a break in the path caused by damage or toxins. This massage technique is used on the feet and along the spine for nerve stimulation and to respond to the oils.
The one giving a Raindrop also benefits from absorbing the oils through their hands, as well as inhaling them. It is a double process going on. Everyone can benefit from a Raindrop technique session.
Now imagine this technique done in my outdoor garden space! It truly is a magical healing place!
